News on TV, in magazines or newspapers help people enrich their knowledge and learn more about almost every area of life.

• This is because it provides its audience members with information about a wide range of topics such as healthcare, education, technology or politics.

It helps people to know more about current affairs and what is happening around the world, which helps them to be better prepared for their future plans.

• For example, I decided to cancel my trip to Bangkok after reading the news about a terrorist attack in this area.

Not all the information on the news media is reliable, so making decisions based on unreliable news sources is very risky.

• A shareholder could lose his entire investment if he bought stocks according to the advice from amateurs’ blogs.

Today, there are  wide range of advertisements on TV, in magazines and newspapers, which encourages consumerism and materialism.

• This leads to a waste of money and valuable resources.

  • Many people spend a huge amount of their time sitting in front of their computer screen and playing video games.
  • This leaves them little time for other activities such as study or work, which negatively affects their productivity.
  • Some of my college friends, for example, failed the final exam due to video game addiction.
• Some people think that video games are designed for entertainment purposes instead of educational values.
  • Therefore, people who engage in video gaming are wasting their precious time on activities that bring no useful purpose for their future lives.
